About Us18Loop's mission is to advocate for the benefits of Virtual Reality (VR) in pediatric cancer recovery, to deploy VR to kids with cancer, and to gather quantitative metrics to support the use of VR meditation in the larger fight against the disease. We are not a medical solution, but our technology will drive our progress toward helping our kids tolerate treatment, recover and thrive. |
Our Program18Loop is deploying Tripp environments in its Virtual Comfort Pilot with Oculus VR headsets. Based on scientific research, Tripp has developed a VR Stress Management solution that uses the immersion of Virtual Reality to assist with pain management, relaxation and deepen a connection to self. Tripp is the perfect combination of gaming, VR meditation and computer science!
18Loop is working with the American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO) on a joint experimental intervention research study. The ACCO is the nation's oldest and largest grassroots organization dedicated to childhood cancer. With the ACCO, 18Loop plans to gather qualitative and quantitative metrics from cancer kids and families. The study is a family intervention and we predict that 18Loop will benefit all family members. 18Loop plans to continue its scientific research in cancer centers in 2021, leading to wider VR distribution. |
...Virtual Reality offers an answer to pain and mood issues that only immersion can deliver. 18Loop will deploy VR to kids with cancer that will provide them a respite from treatment and help them to recover and thrive. The technology is getting better and we must leverage it now for our kids and their families." |
